The Saint Seiya video game series are based on the manga and anime series of the same name created by Masami Kurumada.The games are of various genres, mostly fighting games and beat 'em ups, with occasional elements of role-playing games and platform games.Other genres include educational games and card battle games. The official website of Bandai Namco Entertainment's upcoming Saint Seiya: Soldier's Soul PS3/PS4/PC fighting game began streaming the game's 'God Cloth Camus' video on Monday. Saint Seiya Brave Soldiers will feature playable characters from the Sanctuary, Poseidon and Hades arcs within the Saint Seiya universe. Players will realize their dreams of battling the most vile.
Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers (聖闘士星矢 ブレイブ・ソルジャーズ, Seinto Seiya Bureibu Sorujāzu) is a video game developed by Dimps and Bandai Namco Entertainment featuring the characters and story of Masami Kurumada's Saint Seiya manga. It was released for the PlayStation 3 on October 17, 2013 in Japan, November 21, 2013 in Australia, November 22, 2013 in Europe and November 26, 2013 in North America, and it is also the first Saint Seiya game to be released in North America.[1][2][3]
An updated version, Saint Seiya: Soldiers' Soul, was announced on April 12, 2015[4] and released on September 25 in Japan and Europe and worldwide on October 6.
Saint Seiya: Soldiers’ Soul is an enjoyable fighting game that fans of the manga/anime series will absolutely love. Non-fans might be overwhelmed by its story and slightly hard gameplay. The game based on the popular manga that started back in the ’80s. It is a follow-up to Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers which came out for the PS3 way back in.

Brave Soldiers is a fighting game featuring over 50 characters from the Saint Seiya manga. The super gauge in the game is referred to as the Cosmo Gauge (小宇宙ゲージ, Kosumo Gēji), which characters use to perform their finishing attacks, Burst Dash (バーストダッシュ, Bāsuto Dasshu), Burst Attack (バースト攻撃, Bāsuto Kōgeki), Seven Senses Awakening (セブンセンシズ覚醒, Sebun Senshizu Kakusei), and their special Big Bang Attacks (ビッグバンアタック, Bigu Ban Atakku). A character's strength can be increased through the use of an Orb (オーブ, Ōbu). The Saint Chronicle (セイントクロニクル, Seinto Kuronikuru) game mode has the player progress through battles based on the three main arcs of the original manga: the Sanctuary arc, the Poseidon arc, and the Hades arc. Also in the game is the Galaxian Wars (ギャラクシアンウォーズ, Gyarakushian Wōzu) mode, a tournament mode.

The game received 'mixed' reviews according to the review aggregation website Metacritic.[5] In Japan, Famitsu gave it a score of two eights and two sevens for a total of 30 out of 40.[7]
Grant E. Gaines of Hardcore Gamer said that 'while the single player offers a decent experience, the dumb AI and simple mechanics will limit your fun.'[13] Adam Ma of Gaming Union praised the game for its emulation of the anime series. However, he also highlighted that this same quality was also its main weakness: 'Brave Soldiers is not a game designed to be balanced, but rather a game designed to emulate the show with the greatest accuracy possible.'[14]

Saint Seiya: Soldiers’ Soul is an action fighting video game developed by Dimps and Bandai Namco Entertainment featuring the characters and story of Masami Kurumada’s Saint Seiya manga. Announced on April 12, 2015 and released on September 25, 2015 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in Japan and Europe and October 6 in North America, the game serves as an updated version to the 2013 Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers.
Similar to the previous title, Soldiers’ Soul is a 3D fighting game, it retains all the features from its predecessor and they’ve also been enhanced. PC and PS4 versions will run at 1080p 60fps with better graphics and textures, while the PS3 version will run at 720p 30fps with slightly lower graphics.
